ADEC is a non-profit distance education consortium composed of approximately 20 state universities and land-grant colleges. The consortium was conceived and developed to promote the creation and provision of high-quality, economical distance education programs and services to diverse audiences, by the land-grant community of colleges and universities, through the most appropriate information technologies available.
The Janet K. Poley Innovation Award recognizes an individual from higher education (i.e., campus, system, or consortium) who has—at an institutional or national level—set and met innovative goals focused on online education and been strategic in the planning, development, implementation, and sustainability of programs aligned with the institutional mission. Examples include: authentic institutional online organizational structure; partnership models; maximizing resource efficiencies; improving the learning experience for faculty and students; or the use of technology and learning design to advance online education and address institutional goals.

ADEC’s annual membership fee is $2,500 per university. Some organizations charge their members for every campus; at ADEC, this annual fee covers ALL campuses within your institution.
